A bookstore is already something that has to be protected like a museum., yet they’re running it like a regular retail business. They care more about sales and money than the atmosphere, experience, or anything really directed towards customers at all. There’s hardly any “third” places left and I wish Barnes would wake up and see they’re one of the only places left and really come through for the customers and the general public on that aspect. Generally I enjoy the fast paced nature of work but I've been at Lidl for about 6 months now and it's just ridiculous. I don't even know why customers come to shop here anymore - they're treated like trash. Is the idea that if prices are low enough customers will accept being treated like garbage? In my area there are many old pensioners that are not tech savvy. Our store has had SCO for less than a year, and yet even on the busiest days the shop runs on 1 till permanentely and SCO gets shouted at if we have to open a 2nd till., like it's a murder happening. I’ve attached photos for what I’m looking for. These are from Wayfair, but the reviews for that product (and similar items) were terrible. Plus, I’ve gotten stuff from Wayfair in the past and they haven’t been good quality. I’d like a vanity (preferably in white) that has lots of drawers, outlets, and, most importantly, a sizable cabinet for jewelry. LED lights around the mirror is a bonus. I’m willing to spend a couple hundred dollars but no more than \~900. I’ve looked at Pottery Barn but theirs are so expensive and don’t have the jewelry cabinet and Amazon has sketchy and low quality items. I prefer to order something online but I’m also okay to go in person to a store....

TLDR; How do I store books without them getting damaged from damp conditions or any insects, rats, etc? I'm not sure if this is the right sub for this question. I'm planning on going away for a few years and need a place to keep my books, as well as some clothes and old keepsakes, until I've settled down l've settled down properly. My number one option is a storage facility - I don't trust my relatives to keep my things safe, and I don't have any good friends with enough space. However, I'm worried about my books possibly getting damaged by the generally very damp weather or getting gnawed on by some rats. What can I do to prevent this?
