Covid shot now requires prescription in OR.

2h ago

My 70 year brother was just refused the 2025-2026 covid shot by CVS which he scheduled when CVS first posted the option. CVS told him that without the ACIP meeting the shot is not approved in OR without a prescription. They suggested going to WA to get the shot because the governor ordered that the shots be available without the ACIP vote. Last week most of the pharmacies in town were making reservations for Covid shots, but today I see several website notices that prescriptions are required. Edit: I don't know if getting the shot with a scrip means you might have to pay because of "off label use", but it is certainly something to ask before you get the shot. I've seen r...

How are you supposed to get your meds on time?

3h ago

I take Adzenys and the pharmacy has to order it every time. Of course we cannot refill until 1 (maybe 2) day prior. Then it often takes more than two days to come in. Are pharmacies not allowed to order a controlled med earlier since they know you will be filling it? This is so frustrating. I am limited to pharmacies because of insurance so this is CVS. It pretty much takes a week each time to get my new script.

Last day inpatient for hysterectomy

3h ago

My last day in the hospital. I had a robotic photo hysterectomy with ovaries and tubes. I procedure should have taken around an hour and it took almost 4 hours. My bladder was fused together with my uterus. I do get to go home today… I am happy that they stopped at the Dilaudid. I wish someone had taken my phone away when they did Dilaudid. I’m starting to think that my bed is a little bit higher than I have originally thought. I am gonna stop at CVS on the way home to pick up medication’s and I am now going to get a grabber from all of your post, I have read. I don’t know if there’s anything else I should ask for or pick up at the pharmacy. Also, my appendix ruptured when I was a ...

August Empties and Quick Reviews

3h ago

🎙️And I can see us twisted in bedsheets August sipped away like a bottle of wine🎙️ Hello everyone. I'm back this time with quick reviews of everything that I used and disposed off in the month of August'2025. Starting off with the very first step of skincare **1) Rejuglow face wash** **💸Price:** Rs. 368/- for 100ml **🍶Key Ingredients:** Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Vitamin E, Aloe Vera and Witch Hazel Extract If you have been reading my posts, you would know that I refused to use any facewash apart from this one glycolic acid cleanser. However I wanted to incorporate something having Salicylic acid in my routine but since my skin is sensitive, I was wary ...

Bloomwell: Cannabis overwhelms pharmacies

3h ago

PHARMACY ADHOC , 05.09.2025 Bloomwell does not believe that pharmacies can replace cannabis platforms (NOTE: Bloomwell founded by a 36 yr old that has an On Line Cannabis Business in Germany, as a shoot off from his fathers business. The proposed law if enacted in full puts On Line out of business) Berlin - **Things are getting serious for cannabis mail-order companies: Next week, the cabinet will discuss a draft bill by Federal Health Minister Nina Warken (CDU) amending the Medical Cannabis Act. The plan is to ban the mail-order sale of cannabis, which would spell doom for the platforms.** Their strongest argument in the political debate is that pharmacies simply cannot provide the nece...

Best way to praise workers?

4h ago

Customer here: I LOVE the pharmacy team at my local store. They always answer my questions clearly. They help me out negotiating insurance (which totally gives me anxiety!). They're quick filling things (when in stock!). They're gentle with vaccinations. What is the best way to reward them for being awesome? Is it best to notify management? Or does that actually do anything? Which level of management should I contact to make the biggest impact?

How to survive a pharmacy tech job at CVS

5h ago

Any retail pharmacy technicians here? I cried for the first time yesterday. It’s only been less than 2 months and I’m not sure if I can handle this. Aside from the poor working conditions (understaffing, pressure to meet metrics that don’t really focus on patient satisfaction), my pharmacy manager is incredibly insensitive and chaotic. I thought about sending my manager my official 1 or 2 week notice, but decided to hold off and see what external advice I can receive. I do need money and don’t have anything lined up (been applying though). I just want to make sure I’m making a logical decision and not being carried away by my emotions. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appre...

Rideaux 1 — World Pharmacies: PHARMACIES MUNDI INFINITUS / 03. Eight Plus One Prisoners (Neuf prisonniers)

6h ago

Even in May, the nights spent in the solitary cells of the Bastille were bitterly cold. The thin blanket provided offered little warmth, and the chill seeped into every corner of Farma’s confined space. Yet, despite the discomfort, he had taken every precaution he could manage through the night. He scraped at the plaster walls, collecting the fine dust into a small dish. Over the flickering flame of the oil lamp, he carefully heated it until it transformed into slaked lime. Mixing it with his own saliva, he kneaded the substance back into a malleable clay. From the threads of his clothing, he pulled fibers, tying short pieces together to form longer threads. When the oil lamp—still li...

Rideaux 1 — World Pharmacies: PHARMACIES MUNDI INFINITUS / 02. The Foremost Girl (Meilleure Fille)

6h ago

Farma had been ambushed in his hospital room at the affiliated medical center, gagged and blindfolded, and dragged outside. Being immobilized worked conveniently in favor of the assailants’ plans. For the entire transport, he had been cut off from the outside world. Only once the blindfold was removed before being laid down did he finally grasp his surroundings. This was a solitary cell. Handcuffed and confined, Farma took stock of his prison. The cell measured roughly five square meters on the floor, with a ceiling seven meters above. Two barred windows punctuated the steel confines—one in the ceiling, one in the wall. From the ceiling window, water dripped rhythmically onto the flo...

Chapter 10: Final Chapter — Deux Épilogues

A piercing alarm sounded right beside his ear. Farma Kanji stirred on the sofa, the electronic chime striking him with an odd sense of nostalgia. In his sudden movement, the device slipped from his stomach and tumbled to the floor. “Mm… too bright…” His mind was clear, and the first thing his eyes landed on was a modern ceiling, crisp and immaculate. He could even make out the patterns etched into it. Raising his left arm to shield himself from the light, he noticed the muscles along it, the watch snugly fitted on his wrist. A mild hunger gnawed at him, prompting an instinctive scan of his surroundings. “So… that’s how it is. Just as predicted. I wonder if everyone’s ok...

Chapter 9, Episode 10: The Rejection of Fantasy and a Return to the Sense of Wonder

Farma finally reached the airspace above the intricate cogwork of the Old Holy Empire’s central machinery. Leaving the Empire of Saint-Fleur invisible, he silently bade farewell to all those connected to him. He sent letters to his family and servants in Saint-Fleur, the courtiers, university affiliates, the Holy Emperor, and related pharmacies and shops, ensuring no one remained uninformed. While walking through the Médicis household, he thought he might have met the sleepy gaze of Blanche. In Marseil, he confirmed that the factories were operating normally, that Kiara and her mother remained safe, and that the production of thiamazole continued without disruption, leaving notes of g...

Chapter 9, Episode 9: Loss and Ripples

7h ago

The guardian of the Holy Nation, Farma de Médicis, had vanished without a trace. Charlotte Sorel returned briefly to the de Médicis estate from her apartment overlooking the palace. This place could be called the home of her heart. At first glance, nothing seemed different, yet the disorder within the mansion was apparent in the unusually dim lighting that rarely flickered this low across the de Médicis estate. “Welcome home, Charlotte. I’m glad you’ve come back,” “Welcome back, Lotte.” As always, her mother, Catherine, along with Beatrice and the senior maid staff, greeted her. Charlotte pressed herself against them, tears threatening to spill. Simon and Cedric’s exh...

Chapter 9, Episode 8: Goodbye

7h ago

*August 14th, 1152.* The grand San-Fleuve Market opened as usual, and with the festival in full swing, San-Fleuve Medical University—facing the bustling streets—observed a holiday. Farma walked toward the empty research lab, expecting solitude, and yet found the door unlocked. Pushing it open, he was met with the sight of Fabiola sprawled across the lab’s couch, removing her stockings and stretching her bare feet out lazily. The casual openness of her posture made Farma hesitate before speaking. She was watching the projector, her gaze fixed on the flickering images. “Oh,” she said, noticing him first. Farma gave a slight bow. “Professor Fabiola, good day,” he said, scratch...

Chapter 9, Episode 7: Alternate Version

*August 12, 1152* Emerich and Joséphine Bauer returned to the imperial capital, their honeymoon concluded. In Farma’s laboratory, a neat row of souvenirs covered the table. The research team gathered around, eager to hear tales from their travels. Currently, Farma’s lab consisted of: * **Professor:** Farma de Medicis (17) * **Associate Professor:** Fabiola de Medici (24) * **Graduate Student:** Emerich Bauer (30) * **Graduate Student:** Joséphine Bauer (27) * **Undergraduate Student:** Patricia Nico (18) * **Undergraduate Student:** Morgan Nico (18) * **Secretary:** Zoe de Dunois (26) It was a sizable group, but peculiar in that the professor was the youngest among them. Ellen ha...

Chapter 9, Episode 6: The First-Class Apothecary Amélie’s Worries

7h ago

**August 1, 1152** The imperial capital sweltered from early morning, the forecast predicting a scorching heatwave. A long line stretched outside the main branch of the Parallel World Apothecary. Customers sought medicine—but perhaps more urgently, relief from the heat. The apothecary had installed water-cooled air conditioners using underground springs, completely devoid of divine magic. Farma had explained the principle and enlisted the busy Francine sisters to construct them. Similar systems were installed in the emperor’s chambers and meeting rooms, earning praise across the capital during the persistent heat. Unlike magical ice cooling, these units also reduced humidity, offering...
